How do I insert
the Ad-Net HTML coding
into my web pages?
- You need to copy and
paste your Ad-Net HTML coding into the top of your web pages
for your banners to appear.
-
- With your browser (Internet
Explorer etc) window, open on the copy of your web page from
your hard disc. Go to 'View' then 'Page Source' and you will
then see the HTML for your web page. Scroll down until you find
the 'Body Tag Line' which will look something like this:
-
- <BODY BGCOLOR="#004080"
VLINK="#ffffff" TEXT="#ffff80" LINK="#ff0000">
-
- Paste your banner coding
into the page immediately below this line. Then go to 'File'
and 'Save' the page. Refresh/reload the browser window to see
the banner advert box appear where your banners will be after
the web page is upload to your server.
-
- Copying is
a standard function that almost all Windows and Mac applications
have. To Copy, highlight the text using the mouse and choose
Edit from the menu bar and then select Copy (Ctrl C). To Paste,
place the cursor where you want to the banner code and select
Edit then select Paste (Ctrl V).
-
-
- HTML Editors
If you are using either of the following HTML editors you may
find it easier to use the following methods
-
-
- Microsoft FrontPage
Open your HTML document
Select View from the menu bar
Select HTML
Enter your Ad-Net HTML code. NOTE: You must type in the HTML
code manually (you cannot Copy and Paste with FrontPage)! Press
OK.
-
- Make sure
you Paste the HTML code below the 'Body Line Tag' as detailed
above. Always take a back up copy of your web page first. Incase
you mess up your HTML ;-)
-
-
- Adobe Page Mill
- Open your HTML document
Select View from the menu bar
Select Source Mode
Paste in your HTML coding below the 'Body Line Tag' as detailed
above.
-
- If you find
that PageMill modifies your HTML coding then you can do the following
to prevent this:
- Place the
cursor where you want to place the HTML code and type
<!--NOEDIT-->
Select 'Edit' then 'Paste'
Type <!--/NOEDIT--> after the HTML code
-
Now Save your documents and upload/FTP them to your web server
to view the banners. Remember you will not be able to view the
banners until your pages are live on the Web.
